Tactical FAQ

How do Survivors clear No More Innocence's traps and debuffs?
Survivors can route through purple Dispelling Mists on the map to cleanse tracking and disarm ambush pressure, or trigger traps from a safe distance with Boost ready.

How No More Innocence (NMI) Works in Abyssal Escape

In the Abyssal Escape Killer Tier List, No More Innocence (NMI) is the ultimate mindgame and territory-control Killer. While 2017X and Furnace rely on high-speed dashes, NMI turns the map itself into a psychological minefield.

NMI’s visual evolution is the most dramatic in the game: in Phase 1, he stalks the halls as a slender figure in a dark suit with a pale mask. Once Phase 2 and Phase 3 trigger, he erupts into a towering, skeletal Sonic horror with jagged quills and a split grin.

No More Innocence Moveset & Clone Limit

Understanding NMI’s exact trap cap and phase transitions is critical for both Killers and Survivors:

Ability / Mechanic Limit / Keybind Tactical Function
Clone Trap Placement Up to 3 Clones Max Deploys stationary deceptive clones at choke points, doorways, or Ring spawns.
Deception / Mimic Active Skill (Q / E) Blends with clone silhouettes or ambushes Vessels who misjudge which figure is the real NMI.
Hallucination / Decay Status Pressure Inflicts screen distortion and panic on Survivors who trigger traps or linger in NMI’s terror zone.
Phase 1 → 3 Mutation Match Timer / Hits Transitions from the suited Phase 1 stalker into the long-limbed skeletal monster in Phases 2 and 3.

Best Killer Strategy for No More Innocence

  1. Trap Ring Spawns and Narrow Doorways Early: Spend the first 30 seconds of Phase 1 placing your 3 Clone Traps at high-traffic intersections and near Dispelling Mists entrances.
  2. Herd Survivors Into Your Web: Never chase a Survivor into an untrapped dead zone. Angle your approach so their natural escape route forces them directly into one of your 3 active Clone Traps.
  3. Stand Still to Mindgame Loops: Because NMI’s clones look identical to his idle silhouette in low light, briefly standing still at a loop intersection often tricks Survivors into running straight into your claws.

How Survivors Counter No More Innocence

  • Call Out Trap Locations to Your Team: In 8-Survivor lobbies, one triggered Clone Trap can snowball into a double down. Use Taunt or visual positioning to warn teammates about trapped hallways.
  • Use Dispelling Mists & Defensive Loadouts: Equip Block + Drop Dash (from our Survivor Abilities Guide). If a Clone Trap catches you off guard, Block mitigates the follow-up swing while Drop Dash resets distance. For full stamina conservation rules, read our Beginner Survival Guide.
