Tactical FAQ

What is the difference between 2011X and 2017X in Abyssal Escape?
2017X is a pure high-speed rushdown Killer with Roll and Subterfuge, whereas 2011X (X) is the classic Sonic.EXE stealth and trap specialist who uses Ring Trap and Peek-A-Boo teleport ambushes.
How do you avoid 2011X's Ring Traps?
Watch for suspicious Ring placements near blind corners, keep your camera swiveling before picking up Rings, and save Block or Drop Dash in case 2011X teleports in with 'Found You...'

How Does 2011X Work in Abyssal Escape?

2011X (known simply as X) represents the original Sonic.EXE nightmare inside Abyssal Escape. While 2017X and Furnace brute-force chases with raw speed, 2011X plays a sinister game of cat-and-mouse, taunting Survivors with “I love a game of Hide And Seek”, “Want to try again?”, and “Found You…” dialogue prompts.

In our October 2026 Killer Tier List, 2011X sits in B+ Tier: against uncoordinated lobbies, he wipes teams effortlessly, though disciplined squads who respect his traps can limit his early Phase 1 snowball.

2011X Complete Moveset (Ring Trap & Peek-A-Boo)

2011X’s crimson HUD wheel (Q, E, R) is built to punish Survivors who let their guard down:

Ability / Skill HUD Keybind Tactical Effect
Ring Trap Q Ability Plants a deceptive trap that punishes Survivors rotating through tight corridors or farming in-game Rings.
Peek-A-Boo (Teleport Ambush) E Ability Warps 2011X into an ambush position near unsuspecting Vessels, bypassing long hallway foot chases.
Decay / Soul Grab R / Finisher High-damage close-quarters execution (“Found You…”) that punishes isolated Survivors out of stamina.
Phase 1–3 Escalation Match Progression Enhances teleport frequency, trap pressure, and slash lethality as the match enters Phase 3.

How to Play 2011X: Ambush & Trap Routing

  1. Bait High-Traffic Hazard Bridges: On maps like Don’t Drown, place Ring Trap (Q) along yellow-and-black hazard stripe ledges where Survivors are forced to funnel during chases.
  2. Cut Off Escape Routes With Peek-A-Boo: Instead of following a Survivor’s footsteps through a long loop, activate Peek-A-Boo (E) to materialize ahead of their camera angle.
  3. Isolate Stragglers Before Phase 3: Avoid fighting four full-stamina Survivors at once. Pick off solo Vessels who wander away from the pack to farm your Phase progression.

How Survivors Counter 2011X (X)

  • Route Through Dispelling Mists: Purple Dispelling Mists zones on the floor help neutralize Killer trap setups and tracking pressure.
  • Keep Block Ready on Blind Turns: Equip Block + Drop Dash (see our Survivor Abilities Guide). If 2011X warps onto your screen with “Found You…”, an instant Block parry prevents him from chaining his combo. Read our Beginner Survival Guide to master stamina conservation.
